In the 1970s Ralph Dumoit and Jerry Standley were service technicians for AM Multigraphics and AB Dick, respectively. By chance, Ralph and Jerry happened to be next door neighbors.
After years in the field, Ralph and Jerry knew they could provide better service for their customers if they could "run the show". So, in 1981 they incorporated Litho Supply and Service in Houston, and went to work together.
In 1982 Ralph and Jerry hired their first employee to be an account manager/service tech. By 1983 Litho Supply and Service became a new equipment dealer with its first product line of small duplicator printing presses.
Within a few years, Litho Supply and Service had hired two more account manager/service techs. By 1989 Ralph and Jerry set down their toolboxes for good to focus their efforts on managing and growing the company.
As the 1990s progressed toward the 2000s, Litho Supply and Service kept pace by offering computer to plate solutions for traditional printers as well as offering digital printing machinery. Also, a strong focus on finishing equipment happened at that time by partnering with digital printer manufacturers to provide equipment and technical support.
In 2000 Litho Supply and Service opened up a branch office in North Texas, with longtime Ladymon Co. employee Gary Neidenbach as the Sales Manager.
One year later, Litho Supply and Service shed its old name for the more relevant LSS Digital Print Finishing Systems. But, most people just call us LSS Digital.
In December 2020, Ralph and Mary Ann Dumoit retired and sold LSS Digital to Kelly and Brock Hennigh of Cape Equipment & Services Company. This means that LSS Digital is still family owned and operated, plus the employees are all the same familiar faces you've come to know over the years. (More about this can be learned at this link.)
Currently, we sell new equipment from 20+ manufacturers. Our 6 service techs are factory trained and factory supported for the products we offer. We are proud to service what we sell.
